The worst Miami Heat Tickets ever!

So my son’s uncle won some tickets at a sports store or something to a Heat game and we went last night.

Escalator up. Escalator up.  Escalator up.  Stairs up to the top level. Tickets were in the absolute last row!  No one could yell, “down in front” because there was NO ONE behind us.  We could have been Don King and Erykah Badu and no one would have said a thing.

Anyway, there we were gasping for air in the nosebleeds.  I wondered if this sports store was trying to impress a customer and was thinking that this is the textbook way not to do it.

So #1 son is miles away screaming like he is Erik Speolstra coaching on the sidelines. Turns out it didn’t make a difference what seats we had. He had a blast. He wore his Dwyane Wade #3 jersey and got to see D-Wade.

So next time you get “bad seats” they might just turn out to be the best seats in the house.

What do you think? Your comments are always welcome here. ~Mike

  1. Last yr, I bought a nosebleed tix to see the Celtics, $15.00

You get what you pay for.

How high up was it? An usher handed me a box filled with the same equipment used by rock climbers to scale sheer cliffs in the Swiss Alps.

Furthermore, I knew I ahd a problem when all the people in my section were using oxygen tanks.

I ended up lowering myself by rope and pulley to another section and bribing the usher to allow me to stay there, only 6, 000 ft above sea level.

    My Celtics lost that night.

  2. absolutely the right perspective, mike! kids will sometimes remind us to stop and smell the roses. I’m glad he had such a good time and i doubt that 20 years from now, he’ll remember the seat location as much as he remembers “going to the game with Dad”

    1. You are right! If you’re looking for perspective, ask an 8 year old. I remember when my dad took me to the Yankees in ’67. I saw Mickey Mantle play his last game! He didn’t get a hit, but he walked. I remember him kind of limping to first base…

He was my hero. My dad, that is. ~Mike
